I am clueless about servers…. Right now my website has a front-end host and the database/back-end is on another server. Can these be in one place?
What is the difference between a “back end” and “front end” host or server, as people have coined these? THANKS, in advance, to all you IT/computer geniuses

I use the free hosting on Godaddy so they have placed a banner at the top of my page. For some reason when I open it in Explorer it pushes my website to the right. Its fine in Firefox though. How the heck do I fix this?
Thanks.

Game is BattleField 1942 or Command and Conquer Renegade.
All of the webhosts when signing up, offer transfer of your website from the original host’s servers to their own servers. Does it matter if the original server was Windows based, and can that easily be transfered to a UNIX/Linux based server?
Can anyone give me a little know-how about starting up a website? Perhaps some step-by-step about how to go from knowing nothing about this, to running a website? I think alot of people would benefit from this information besides just myself. I need to know some of the steps that I need to take to register a domain name, and how to host it. Some of the terms I’ve heard associated with this were MySQL and cPanel (I think). Does anyone know what these terms mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot!
