I’m hosting a domain on server space that I just rented. I sometimes am told to issue commands to the server via command line but I have no idea how to do that. Can I do it through terminal on OS X?

i am planing to make a social community website like myspace
i dont have a good hosting and cant afford one when my users upload images or videos it should be hosted on a free server like photo bucket
is it possible any such app for people like me
i can integrate that app on to my server
