Get linux hosting. The only difference is windows runs not as well, cost more, and you can run ASP and some other windows prog stuff you prob don’t need.

All websites today currently run on either a Windows web server or a Linux-based server. A Linux-based platform is typically used for PHP, Perl, and most other types of websites. Basically, unless your website uses ASP (pages ending in the .asp extention), Windows hosting is not neccessary.

Nothing really, except you can’t host IIS (ASP, ASP.net) on Non-Windows computers (apache discontinued support).
